Est. 1985 · East Village, Manhattan
For over four decades, C.T. Seafood Marts has been the source that East Village chefs, fishmongers, and home cooks trust — from the harbor to your kitchen in a single day.
Family-owned. Neighborhood trusted. Still running the same counter.
Our Story
C.T. Seafood Marts opened its doors on Grand Street in the mid-1980s — a time when the Lower East Side was still finding its footing and fresh seafood in the neighborhood was harder to come by.
What started as a modest counter with a reliable supplier has become one of Manhattan's most dependable sources for daily catches, live shellfish, and specialty items that you won't find at a supermarket.
We work directly with fishermen from the Northeast coast, and our selection changes with the tides — not the calendar. If it's not worth selling, we don't put it on ice.
What We Offer
Black sea bass, fluke, halibut, striped bass, and seasonal specials — prepared whole or filleted to order.
East Coast and West Coast oysters, hard-shell clams, blue crabs, and lobsters — sourced daily from trusted boats.
Live Maine lobster, stone crabs, and Dungeness — the kind you'd expect at a proper seafood house.
Yellowtail, hamachi, salmon, and tuna prepared for raw consumption — handled with care from catch to counter.
Wild-caught and sustainably sourced varieties — from small bay shrimp to jumbo Gulf prawns.
Can't find what you need? We'll source it. Sturgeon, monkfish, or a specific cut — just ask.
